Mr. Vanis Long, 88

  Mr. Vanis Long, 88, of Celina passed away at the Cumberland River Hospital on Monday, July 12, 2010. He was born on April 19, 1922 in Kettle, KY. To the late Clarence and Halie (Key) Long. He worked for the State Highway Department and was a member of the Celina Church of Christ.

  Survivors include – wife: Alyene (Sullivan) Long — Celina, TN, two daughters: Phyllis (Mitchell) Capps — Lebanon, TN., Janice (Paul) Korth — Cookeville, TN, one son: Mike (Sheila) Long — Cookeville, TN, one brother: John Long – Indiana, seven grandchildren: Crystal, Penny, Andrew, Wes, Jessica, Macey, Hannah, four great grandchildren: Asia, Hayley, Noah, Dawson, and special friends: Martha and Judy Rich, Billie Collins, Ruth Parsons. A host of family and friends also survived.
He was preceded in death by – parents: Clarence and Halie (Key) Long, three sisters: Avo Cunningham, Thelma Boles, Myrtle Head, and two brothers: Ray and Fred Long. 
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home in Celina, TN. burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery with Bro. Bill Threet Officiating.
