Tony R. Bell, 49

Tony R. Bell, age 49, of Gamaliel, passed Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Hardin  Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. He was born in Canton, OH on June 29, 1961 to the late George Roland Bell and  Christine Spivey Bell.

He was a truck driver for B & M Trucking, a Deputy Sheriff in Macon County, TN, a member of Gamaliel Church of Christ, a U.S. Army Veteran and the husband of Mary Turner Bell. He is survived by his wife: Mary Turner Bell of Gamaliel, three daughters and sons-in-law: Crystie & Jeremy Keene of Lafayette, TN, Patricia & Tony Hawkins of Spartanburg, SC, Amy & Junior Dodson of Westmoreland, TN, one brother: Mike Bell of Lafayette, TN, one sister: Melissia McGahee of Cookeville, TN and six Grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Timothy Shawn Bell. Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 30 at 2 PM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial in the Corinth Gardens in Macon County, TN.  Eric Pitcock and Kenny Hart officiated.  Military rites were performed at the graveside by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Serving as pallbearers were Gerald Carter, Jimmy Hardin, Darrell Taylor, Benny Hudgins, Mark Gammons, Pat Driver, Honorary pallbearers were men of Gamaliel Church of Christ.
