Kathy Brawner, 81
Ms. Kathy Brawner, age 81 of Lebanon, TN and formerly of Macon County, TN passed away on Thursday morning September 2, 2010 at Quality Care – Cedars Healthcare Center in Lebanon. Funeral services for Ms. Kathy Brawner were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Jimmy Claiborne officiating. Nathan Young, Kyle Brooks, Justin Brooks, Tony Morgan, Victor Morgan, Justin Cline, Nicklas Knight, Trevor Napier, and William Butrum served as Honorary Pallbearers. Anthony Yong, Kyle Miller, Barry Brooks, Roman Morgan, Perry Knight, and Donald Butrum served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Pony-McDonald Cemetery.

She was born on September 16, 1928 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Joseph William and Lassie Lillian Day Brooks.
She was married to Ralph Peyton Brawner on June 8, 1946, sharing forty-one years together and two children. Ralph preceded her in death on November 10, 1987. Besides her husband and parents; one infant son, Paul Wayne Brawner also preceded her in death.
Kathy was a housewife and enjoyed being outside working in her garden. She loved canning her vegetables and cooking. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person. Kathy was saved and joined Days Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by; daughter, Brenda Ferrell, granddaughter, Melinda Burton both of Lebanon, TN, grandson, David and wife Pamela Ferrell, two great-grandsons,
C.J. and Garrett Ferrell all of Hendersonville, TN, sisters, Evelyn Young, and Norma Young both of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Jo and husband Homer Morgan of Westmoreland, TN,
Velvie and husband Jack Knight, and Verlene Butrum all of Lafayette, TN, brother,
Dee Brooks of Lafayette, TN, also survives.
