General Hospital. Funeral services for Harold Harper were conducted on Saturday, October 2nd at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Dean Dyer officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

On September 28, 1933, Harold Harper was born to the late Garland and Verda Mae Meador Harper.
He was a veteran serving in the United States Army from August 1953 until June of 1955.
After returning home, he married Gerald “Jerri” Whitlock on August 12, 1955, sharing fifty-five wonderful years together and raising one daughter, Jerri survives.
Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his daughter; Gara Lynn Harper Overton.
He later went to Mueller Brass in Hartsville, TN working there for twenty years, before retiring in 1995. Harold enjoyed fishing in his spare time. After retirement, he liked to work in his flowers, do wood crafting, read books and play bingo. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge. Harold will be greatly missed by his loving wife and all who knew him.
Harold is survived by: wife, Gerald “Jerri” Harper, son-in-law, Jeff Overton of Bellevue, TN, aunts, Willie Mae (Henry) Edwards of Lafayette, TN, and Margaret (David) Huff of Louisville, KY, and a host of friends, also survive.
