On April 3, 1954, she was born to the late William “Bill” Brawner and Thelma Mazell Russell Brawner.   She was married to J.C. Smith on March 12, 1989, sharing over twenty-one wonderful years together.
She had worked at various factories, including the blouse factory and Texas Boot in Hartsville; the silk mill, the shirt factory, Tennplasco, Racoe Manufacturing, Sportswear, and the card factory in Lafayette. She had also worked at Learning Express, Hardees and at McDonalds. For the past few years she didn’t work away from home which gave her more time to enjoy her family and friends and work in her flower garden.
In their spare time Trudy and J. C. loved to travel and had visited several states.  J.C. said she was a health nut, always making sure they worked out and ate healthy.
Trudy had no children of her own, but she had three step-children and five step-grandchildren that she loved dearly.  She was always trying to brighten up your day; and could do that with just a smile. As a young girl, she was saved at Old Bottom Missionary Baptist Church and in 1964 joined there. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
She is survived by; husband, J.C. Smith, step-children, Angela Smith, Debbie (Bruce) Knight, and Jackie (Sherry) Smith, sisters, Judy (Jimmy) Law all of Lafayette, TN, Shelvie
(Ron) Rasmussen of Oxford, IN, and Cynthia Charlotte of Lafayette, TN, brothers, Larry Brawner, and Gary (Shannon) Brawner all of Lafayette, TN, five step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, also survives.
