Linda Morris Brackebusch, 71

Mrs. Linda Morris Brackebusch of South Carthage, a retired educator, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon October 30, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was undergoing kidney dialysis. She was 71.

Her pastor, Bro. Tim Frank officiated at the 1 p.m. Monday afternoon November 1st funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Morris Family plot in Ridgewood Cemetery.
The youngest of eleven children, she was born Linda Lou Morris in the Monoville Community on October 7, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Helen Key Morris and the late Elisha Thomas Morris Sr.
Siblings preceding her in death were Henry Hart Morris, Gerald Morris, Abby Morris Robbins, Jessie Morris Gore, Ruth Morris Maggart, Grace Morris Hendrick, E. T. Morris Jr. and Kenneth Morris.
On December 21, 1968 at the Carthage United Methodist Church, she was united in marriage to Bonners Ferry, Idaho native Harold Martin Brackebusch.
Mrs. Brackebusch was a 1957 graduate of Smith County High School and received a Bachelors of Science in Education in 1962 from the Tennessee Polytechnic Institute now Tennessee Technological University.
She was a member of the Carthage First Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Forty two years is their son, Kent Brackebusch and wife Johnna of Paris, TN; two sisters, Pauline Morris Guile of Lafayette, Pat Morris Ham of Hermitage; granddaughters, Chelsea Apple, Alyssa Fisher, Erica Jackson; great-grandson, Elijah Smith.
