O.T. JENT – age 74 of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday afternoon, November 11, 2010 at his home.  Funeral services for Mr. O.T. Jent were conducted Saturday, at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Guthrie Thompson officiating.  David Cornwell, Tony Cline, Richard Jent, Bernie Sanfeliz, Mike Fevold, and Bernardo Sanfeliz, Sr. served as Pallbearers.  Interment followed in the Haysville Cemetery.

O.T. was born in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Wiley Davison and Bessie Elizabeth Marsh Jent on May 23, 1936.
As a young boy, he joined the United States Air Force and served from 1954 through 1957.  In April 1967, he married Eva Lois Polston sharing thirty-three years together; Eva preceded him in death on June 9, 2000.  He raised seven children that he loved deeply.
Besides his wife and parents; one son, Bobby Jent, one daughter, Kimberly Jent, and three brothers, Ottis Jent, Richard Jent, and James Jent also preceded him in death.  
O.T. worked as a carpenter for over sixty years before retiring.  He had to be busy, whether it was working on cars or tinkering on boats.  Being idle was not something he enjoyed.     
As a young boy, he liked to skate and was known as a champion roller skater.  O.T. loved going out on his boat fishing or being in the woods hunting.  Although he tried to be tough, he had a big heart and was always giving to people less fortunate.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
O.T. is survived by; sons, Rick Jent of East Texas, Mike Jent of Seattle, WA, daughters, Charlotte Price of Houston, TX, Brenda Sanfeliz of Austin, TX, Debra Cline, and Katrina Cornwell both of Lafayette, TN, nephew, Rick Jent of Indianapolis, IN, dear friend and companion, Bernice Cornwell of Lafayette, TN, brother-in-law, Henry Polston of Lafayette, TN, seventeen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
