Mr. Skipworth was born on July 27, 1953 to the late William Gobel and Ethel Francis (Harris) Skipworth in Celina, TN.

He was affiliate with the Church of Christ. Survivors include daughters: Carrie (Roger) Calvert of Gainesboro, TN, Amy Skipworth (Brad Bailey) of Celina, TN, son Tyler Skipworth of Celina, TN, two grandchildren Justin Calvert and Hayleigh J. Bailey, sisters Bonnie Eads of Celina, TN, and Kaye Velie of Celina, TN, brother Howard (Carolyn) Skipworth of Celina, TN, faithful friend Ina Skipworth, friend of the family Corinda Skipworth, special friend Lou Ellen Weaver and family, and sister in-law Nonie Huddleston. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by parents William Gobel and Ethel Francis (Harris) Skipworth, sisters Pauline Harmon, Janie Harden, Phyllis Corban and Shirley Groce, brother Walter Buddy Huddleston and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home in Celina, TN. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery with Jason Dodson Officiating.
