Chaffin, age 67, of Mt. Juliet, formerly of Macon County, TN passed away Saturday afternoon, January 15, 2011 at The Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville. Funeral Services for Junior L. Chaffin were conducted Monday afternoon, January 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Carver officiating.

His family and friends served as pallbearers. Junior was born Tuesday, April 27, 1943 in Macon County, TN, the son of the late Wesley and Maggie Andrews Chaffin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Christine Chaffin and father-in-law, George Donald Gentry. On December 30, 1964, he married the former Geraldine Gentry, who survives. He was a cabinet installer for Ideal Cabinets in La Vergne with 24 years of service. Survivors besides his wife, Geraldine of 46 years include: daughter & son-in-law, Teresa & Leonardo Santana, Lebanon, sons & daughter-in-law, Marvin & Jerrie Chaffin, Smyrna, Donald W. Chaffin, Mt. Juliet, sisters & brothers-in-law, Lorene Farless, Columbus, GA, Iva Jean & Frank King, Lafayette, Madeline Luster, Smyrna, Geraldine & Larry Patterson, Woodbury, brother & sister-in-law, James & Naomi Chaffin, Lafayette, mother-in-law, Louvenia Gentry, Hermitage Springs, grandchildren, Tasha Pisani, Barry Chaffin, Bradley Chaffin, Ryan Warnack, D.J. Chaffin.
