Funeral services for Bob Gardner were conducted Saturday, at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Anthony Hale officiating.

Likens, Ricky Gardner, Kit Chappell, Brad Hobdy served as Honorary Pallbearers. Chris Hobdy, K.C. Chappell, Trae Chappell, Mike Likens, Wayne Harris, Dakota Flynn, Ronald Parker, and Donald Parker served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Rocky Mound Cemetery.
Bob was born in Millersville, Tennessee on May 10, 1941 to the late Robert M. and Jeanette Ruth Kitchens Gardner. On March 15, 1969, Bob married the former Johnnie Lou Moore sharing forty-one years together, Johnnie Lou survives. Bob worked for a garment factory for twenty years as a foreman and garment cutter. Later in life, he worked a short time for the County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Lafayette in the Police Department. Following his retirement, he enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was walking or sitting at the water’s edge trying to catch the big one. Being a Jimmy Johnson fan, he always liked watching NASCAR on television. He cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Bob loved going out with his family to eat or to go bowling.  Bob was so thankful for the reunion he recently had with his family. Most of all he loved his saviour and his church; he was a faithful member of Brattontown Missionary Baptist Church. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. He is survived by; wife, Johnnie Lou Gardner of the Cross Lanes Community in Macon County, TN, son, Jimmy (Marcie) Hobdy of Somerset, KY, daughters, Vickie (Rich) Christian of Corbin, KY, Donna Gayle Gardner of the Cross Lanes Community in Macon County, TN, sister, Barbara (Frank) Parton of Sevierville, TN, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
