Funeral services for Ms. Zetta Inez Hudson were conducted on Monday, February 7, at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Jerry Mercer officiating.

Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Heath Hudson, Seth Hudson, Eli Hudson, Michael Detwiler, Bubba Day, Gerome Donoho, and Tom Rowland served as Pallbearers. Inez was born in Macon County, Tennessee on December 25, 1926 to the late Dewey Britten and Lura Esther Wakefield Hudson. On April 21, 1946, she was married to Adonal Calvin Hudson, sharing thirty-three years together and raising two sons, Adonal preceded her in death on August 20, 1979. Inez and Adonal opened Macon Department Store in Lafayette, working side by side. After his death, she continued with the store for a total of forty-eight years, before retiring. The store is now run by her son Terry. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and was known to do some sewing. Inez’s favorite hobby was collecting dishes. Inez was a loving and caring person who never missed an opportunity to be with her children, and to play with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Inez loved her church family and was a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by; Sons, Terry Hudson of Lafayette, TN, Dr. Toney and wife Haven Hudson of Cookeville, TN, Grandchildren, Heath and wife Joyelle Hudson, Shawn and husband Michael Detwiler, Seth and wife Jennifer Hudson all of Cookeville, TN, 9 Great Grandchildren also survive.
