Funeral Services for Glyn Dycus were conducted Friday afternoon, February 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Hugh Wayne Clark and Gary Wilder officiating.  Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Glyn’s special friends were Marty & Michelle Dennis, Keith & Veronica “Sissy” Page, Harrison & Justine Haynes, Diane Birdwell, Connie Hadynski, Tracy Carter (hospice nurse) and a host of friends. Honorary Pallbearers were Rudolph Donoho, Kenneth Smith, Lanny Hudson, Bobby Thomas, Roger Hix, Seth Long, Tony Russell, Scott Thomas, Jackie Pedigo and R.B.S. High School Class of 1957.  Active Pallbearers were his nephews, Ronnie Dycus, Chesley Dycus, Brandon Dycus, Corey Dycus, Donald Ray Woodcock Jr., Timmy Woodcock, Kenny Woodcock, Chris Woodcock, Terry Reid and Kerry Reid.    
Glyn was born Wednesday, November 15, 1939 in Macon County, TN, one of nine siblings born to the late Bernard T. Dycus and Jerrine Goad Dycus.  On April 16, 1965, he married the former Hilda Woodcock who survives. She was the daughter of the late E.K. and Tiny Woodcock. Hilda and Glyn shared almost 46 years of marriage. He was a rural mail carrier for twenty years and worked with the US Core of Engineers having 32 years of Government Service and a member of the Willette Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, father and mother-in-law and brother, William Bernard Dycus, nephew, Kimmy Dycus preceded him in death. Other than his wife, survivors include: sister’s & brother-in-laws, Betty & Harold Huffines of Willette Community, Francis & Billy Hudson of Kempville, TN, brothers & sister-in-laws, Hugh Warner & Janice Dycus of Gallatin, TN, Barry & Frances Dycus of  Dixon Springs, TN, Paul & Lou Ann Dycus of Lebanon, TN, Walter & Linda Dycus of Waverly, TN, David & Kim Dycus of Lafayette, TN, sister-in-law, Bell Sewell of Lafayette, TN, brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, H.N. & Sue Reid of Lafayette, TN, Donald Woodcock of Lebanon, TN, 11 nieces & 10 nephews.
