Services for Joyce Gale Patterson Freeman were conducted Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 7 p.m. from the Morrison Hill Christian Church in Kingston, Tennessee, with Minster Dennis Mullen officiating. Visitation with the family was conducted from the Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tennessee on Friday, February 25, until 2 p.m. with a graveside following at Anderson and Son Memorial Park.

Race St. Kingston, TN 37763. On March 9, 1941, Joyce was born in Macon County to her parents the late Paul and Irene Patterson. She was one of four siblings born to this union. Joyce grew up in Macon County and graduated here. Later she moved to Smith County, Tennessee where she lived for over 27 years. She worked for Mid-Tennessee Office Supplies where she remained until retiring. In her earlier life, she was married and has three children by this union. She later was married to Truman Freeman and resided in Kingston, Tennessee. Joyce will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends. She is survived by: Husband, Truman H. Freeman of Kingston, TN, Daughter, Vicki Lawson and husband Billy Wayne of Brush Creek in Smith County, TN, Sons, Frankie Law, Jr. and wife Cindy of New Middleton of Smith County, TN, and Tommy Law of Arkansas, brothers, Ronald and Josephine Patterson, Danny and Donna Patterson all of Lafayette, and Harold and Lottie Patterson of Nashville, an Aunt, Clovis Ramsey of Lafayette, TN also survives.
