Funeral Services for Mr. Paul Gross were conducted Monday, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Bobby Hale officiating.

His grandsons; Johnny Farley, Chris Gross, Matt Gross, Alan Gross, Nick Gross, and Daniel Gross served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Drury Cemetery. Paul was born in Trousdale County, Tennessee on August 1, 1930 to the late Deward Celsor and Lassie Ezma White Gross. Besides his parents; brothers, Willard Green Gross, George Reece Gross, and Bobby White Gross, and a grandson, Jesse James Farley, also preceded him in death. Paul was married to his sweetheart the former Irma Evelle Brawner, on January 10, 1953. They shared fifty-seven years together and raised five boys and two girls, Irma survives. He served in the United States Army as Private First Class during the Korean War, being Honorable Discharge in May of 1961. After returning home, he went into the art of sign painting.  Sign painting was Paul’s talent and his job for over forty-eight years. He was known over several counties for his detailed work. Paul enjoyed going out for a day of fishing with his friends and family. He liked to listen to his bluegrass music, especially gospel. During the early 1980’s, Paul was called to minister the gospel. He went out to churches over several counties preaching the gospel and serving his Master. Paul was a dedicated life long member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. Such love and care he gave to his family, he cherished them all, and will be greatly missed by them. Paul is survived by; Wife, Irma Brawner Gross of Lafayette, TN, Sons, Danny (Cathy) Gross, Charles Gross, Larry Gross, Paul Shane Gross all of Lafayette, TN, and Jackie (Bonnie) Gross of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Daughters, Kimberly (James) Farley of Westmoreland, TN, and Wanda Gail Goad of Bowling Green, KY, 13 grandchildren,  and 6 great-grandchildren, also survive.
