Mae Smith passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Mae Smith was born December 2, 1918 to the late Clinton and Dona (Bean) York. Mae was a retired machine operator for Osh Kosh Garment Factory and a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ. She is survived by sons, Coell Smith (Anna Belle) of Columbus, Indiana, Jack Smith (Laura Belle) of Moss, Neal Smith (Debbie); daughters, Gen Pharris (Kenneth Arms) of Moss, Kat Wilkerson (Lincoln) of Moss, Brenda Browning (Doug) of Red Boiling Springs and Sherry George (Jeff) of Red Boiling Springs; 22 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Vancil Smith; daughter, Linda Anderson; son, Donnie Dale Smith; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons. Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
