Funeral services for Bryant Napier were conducted Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brother John Davis officiating.

Bryant Edward Napier was born July 24, 1935 in Macon County, Tennessee, one of ten siblings born to the late Whit and Jewell Fishburn Napier. In July of 1963, he married the former Shirley Binion, who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Ann Grinestaff, two brothers, Leon Napier and Johnny Napier, a sister, Bonnie Napier Majers and two grandchildren, Christopher Napier and Jessica Napier. He worked as a maintenance man with the New York Central Railroad in Indianapolis, Indiana and was of the Missionary Baptist belief. In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by a son, Ricky Napier of Lafayette, Tn; grandchildren, Kelli Napier of Gallatin, Tn, Dewayne Grinestaff and Alisha Grinestaff of Lafayette, Tn; brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy and Carolyn Napier, Lonnie Napier, and Joe Napier, all of Lafayette, Tn; sisters and brother-in-law, Fay Napier of Lafayette, Tn, Frances and Art Neuhausel of the Rocky Mound community, and Florence Napier of Bowling Green, Ky. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
