Funeral services for Teddy Scurlock were conducted on Friday, April 1, 2011 from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brother Jeff Likens and Elder Jerry Shrum officiating.

Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers were Hayden Hauskins, Holden Hauskins and Tanner Birge. Pallbearers were Elton Matthews, Ethan Mungle, Kota Hauskins, Tyler Goad, Randy Johnson and John Lombardo. Teddy’s testimony of faith was when he was saved by the Lord while crossing a stock gap and then later being baptized at Sycamore Creek. He was raised in Macon County where he worked as a farmer for over 20 years. The last 26 years of his life were spent working as a plumber. Teddy was a very caring and loving daddy, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. On March 28, 2009, he was united in marriage to the former Janice Hand, who survives. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Scurlock, and a sister, Peggy Maxwell. Besides his wife and father, Teddy is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Terry Stafford, Penny and Robert Hauskins, Stephanie and Troy Mungle, and Amy Birge; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Scurlock; and a sister, Pam Brown. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandsons and 5 step-great-grandchildren, who know him lovingly as “Pa Pa”.
