Jamie Lowhorn, 66

Jamie Lowhorn, age 66 of
Lafayette, Tennessee passed away early Monday morning, August 22, 2011 at his
residence. Funeral services for Jamie Lowhorn were conducted on Wednesday at 2
p.m. from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder J. B. Shoulders
officiating.

Interment followed in the
Macon County Memorial Gardens. Jamie’s request was that any memorials take
the form of donations to his grandchildren’s scholarship fund. These can be
made at the funeral home or at any branch of Macon Bank & Trust. He was a
veteran serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1968 until 1970. After
returning home Jamie married the love of his life, the former Shelia Diana
Patterson on December 2, 1970. They shared forty wonderful years together and
have raised two sons, Timmy and Torey; Shelia survives. Jamie was a proud husband,
father, and grandfather; his family was everything to him. Sitting on the bank
fishing with his sons and grandkids by his side, made Jamie’s day. The family
also enjoyed going camping together and did so for the last several years.
Jamie was a collector of Die Cast Antique Cars and had accumulated a large
selection. He was a member of the Jubilee Worship Center.
 Jamie had worked for
Tuck’s Building Supply for forty years, before retiring in January of this
year, due to his health. He enjoyed meeting the public and helping
customers with the supplies they needed. You seldom saw Jamie when he didn’t
have a smile on his face or something funny to say. Jamie will be greatly
