Ruth Jones Eller, 92

  Ruth Jones Eller, of the
Hillsdale Community of Macon County, was born on Sunday, September 22, 1918 in
Davidson County, Tennessee, one of five siblings born to the late William E.
and Susan Rust Jones. She departed this life on Sunday night, August 28th, 2011
at the age of 92 years, 11 months and 6 days. Funeral services for Ruth Jones
Eller were conducted on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the chapel
of Anderson and Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brother Clifford Waters and
Brother Bryan Morgan officiating.

  Honorary pallbearer was Clay
Vaughan. Pallbearers were Tim Kuster, Jack Byrd, Gary Schield, Clyde Mansfield,
Chase Warner and Jackie Browning. Interment followed in the Spring Hill
Cemetery in Nashville, TN. On November 11th 1940, Ruth married Robert Dewey
Eller, sharing 27 years together before his death on April 30th, 1968. Ruth was
Valedictorian of her graduating class, and went on to attend Business College
in Nashville. She retired from Trousdale Manufacturing after 40 years of
service. She spent her remaining days as a homemaker, where she loved working
in her flower gardens. Ruth visited the sick and those in the nursing homes and
was always willing to help anyone in need. She taught Sunday School for many
years at the Lafayette Church of God, where she was a member, and attended
faithfully as long as her health permitted. In addition to her parents and
husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her four siblings: sisters, Florence
Schield and Evelyn Gerstnar and two brothers, Vernon an Paul Jones. She is
survived by, Sons and Daughters-in-Law, David and Linda Eller of the Hillsdale
Community, John and Chanthy Eller of Lewisburg, TN, 4 Grandchildren, Sarah Vaughan,
Tina Kuster, Dina Byrd, Melody Norris, 6 Great-Grandchildren, Kristy and
Chelsea Groce, Chase Warner, Eric Kuster, Shelby Vaughan, Dawson Norris, and a
host of family and friends who will miss her.
