Roger L. Reece, 69

  Mr. Roger L. Reece, age 69,
of the Underwood Community of Macon County, Tennessee passed away in the early
morning hours of Wednesday August 31, 2011 at his home with his family by his
side. Memorial Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Underwood Cemetery
with Elder Troy White officiating. Roger Reece was born on July 28, 1942 in
Omaha, Nebraska to the late Harold and Cleda Guillespie Reece. 

  Besides his parents; one son,
Timothy Patrie also preceded him in death. After going together for several
years Roger married his love, the former Barbara Jean Mann on October 17, 1997.
They shared four sons and one daughter. He loved his family and nothing
meant more to him than having his grandchildren visit. Roger made a career in
the Military serving in the Navy. Some of this time was served during the
Vietnam War. He retired from the Navy in 1981, after 24 years of service.
He was an active member of the V.F.W., American Legion and the Fleet Reserve.
In Roger’s leisure time, he enjoyed riding around on his motorcycle and he also
collected coins. He was saved later in life and joined Underwood Missionary
Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member. Roger will be greatly missed by
his family and all those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind; Wife,
Barbara Reece, Sons and Daughter-in-law, Daniel Arter, Gerald Arter, and Jason
(Engrid) Patrie all of the Underwood Community in Macon County, TN, Daughter
and Son-in-law, Amanda (Thomas) Vester of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren, Jessica
Arter, Kamryn Vester, and Cole Vester all of Lafayette, TN, and Natalie Patrie
of the Underwood Community in Macon County, TN, and Brother and Sister-in-law,
Keith (Marci) Hildebrand of Nebraska.
