He married his childhood sweetheart, the former Peggy Sue Tuck on August 12, 1961, sharing fifty years together and raising four wonderful daughters; Peggy survives. Larry farmed all of his life, growing tobacco and raising horses. He had a great passion for quarter horses, raising and showing them most of his life. His pride and joy Pumpkin Maker, won the Tennessee State Barrel Show in 2005. He had made many friends over the years at surrounding horse shows. Larry was a good father, husband, and friend to all who knew him. He would give his shirt off his back if anyone needed it. Most of all he loved all of his family; sure we had our ups and downs, but through it all we had lots of love and even death cannot take that away.
