Mrs. Mabel Hunter
McDole,born May 29, 1911, of Westmoreland passed away at  age 100  on
Sunday, September 11 at Morningside of Gallatin assisted living facility.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday September 14th at 11AM at
Westmoreland United Methodist Church with Pastor Ron Bingnear officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Visitation
will begin on Tuesday at 3:00PM until 8:00PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday at Westmoreland United Methodist Church at
9:30AM until time of service. She is survived by her son David H. McDole (wife
Barbara) of Franklin & Westmoreland TN. Mrs. McDole was preceded in death
by her husband Graidon McDole; parents Andrew Herschel Hunter and Ola Bell
Reddick; infant daughter Ruth Ann McDole. Her sisters Estelle Lee, Lucille
Crowder, Virginia Harper, Frances Clemens, and two brothers; Miller Hunter, and
James M. Hunter Sr. She graduated Gallatin High School in 1928 and went on to
become a teacher at a two teacher school in Sumner County in the same year. She
retired as a teacher from Westmoreland Elementary school in 1974 after 40 years
of dedicated service; working with and loving children has always been the
focal point in her life. In 2001 Mabel & Graidon McDole were named. Citizen
of the year by the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce & the Gallatin News
Examiner.
Selected pallbearers for the service are : Maxie Searcy, James M. Hunter Jr. ,
Jerry Kirby, David Brown, Chad Lambert, and Mark Hagewood. Honorary Pallbearers
for the service are: H.G. Kirby, James Anderson, Frank Cambra, William
Huntsman, Randy Atterberry, Active Sumner County Teachers, Retired Sumner
County Teachers and Residents and Staff of Morningside of Gallatin. The family
has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Westmoreland Public
Library and Westmoreland United Methodist Church.
