Milton “Burr” Boyles, age
70, of Gamaliel, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Baptist Hospital
in Nashville, TN. He was born in Monroe County, KY on January 22, 1941 to the
late Milton Byron Boyles and Imogene Bryant Boyles.

He was co-owner of Stitches Inc. and of the Baptist faith.
He was united in marriage on 1968 to Cecile Turner. He is survived by his wife
Cecile Turner Boyles of Gamaliel, two sons and one daughter-in-law: Donnie and
Mary Marshall Peden of Gamaliel, Greg Boyles of Glasgow, one daughter:
Charlotte Boyles Curtis of Bowling Green, KY, two sisters: Elizabeth Scott of
Celina, TN, Patty Bertram of Bowling Green, KY, two grandsons: Dustin and
Andrew Peden of Gamaliel. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday,
September 22, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with
burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on
Wednesday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel. Memorials are suggested to
the Stitches Inc. Relay for Life Team or Gamaliel VFD
