Michael Gordon Fields, age
59 of Lafayette passed away September 26, 2011.  Graveside services for
Michael Gordon Fields were conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Lafayette City
Cemetery with Brother Scotty Cox officiating, Interment followed. Ashley Harp
served as Honorary Pallbearer.

Jason Jones, T.J. Jones, Sam
Tomlinson, Howard Moonhaney, Al Littrell, and Richard Bohanon served as Active
Pallbearers. Michael Fields was born on September 9, 1952 in Hull, Georgia to
the late Lonnie Green Fields, and Mary Virginia Gibson. He was one of four
siblings born to this union. Michael married the former Brenda Joyce Tomlinson
on September 11, 1987, sharing 24 years together and raising six children,
Brenda survives. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by;
brother, Patrick Burch, and granddaughter, Nevaeh Fields. Michael loved the
adrenaline rush, racing cars gave him. He also liked watching NASCAR on
television. Another hobby Michael liked doing was spending the day fishing.
 
He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Michael is survived by;
Wife, Brenda J. Fields of Lafayette, TN, Sons, Michael Shane Fields, Lonnie
Pacer Fields, and Dustin Gage Fields all of Lebanon, TN, Daughters, Trina Marie
(Ryan) Smith of Indiana, Britney Kay (Richard) Bohanon, Tabitha Lynn (Rick)
Farber all of Lafayette, TN, Sisters, Linda (Bill) Taylor of Hull, GA, and
Virginia Brown of Alabama, 15 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also
survive.
