  Charlotte Dean Dyer, age 76
of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, October 24, at the Skyline Madison Campus
with Alive Hospice. Funeral services for Ms. Charlotte Dean Dyer were conducted
Thursday, October 27, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with
Reverend Ron Bush officiating. Interment followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

  Serving as Pallbearers were
Randy East, Ivan David, Rodney Ellis, Jon Wells, Gary Jenkins, and Jack
Hauskin. Charlotte was born on May 22, 1935 in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late
Oakley and Velma White Gammon. She was one of three siblings born this to
union. Charlotte was married to the love of her life, Brandle Dyer, on January
25, 1969. They shared 40 years together, Brandle passed away on February 19,
2009. They both had children from previous marriages, a total of eight that
they loved dearly. She was a beautician, having her own Beauty Shop for over 30
years. Charlotte’s personality fit her life style. She was a very caring and
loving person always giving of herself. Charlotte enjoyed spending her time
meeting and serving the public. She was always volunteering at the Hospital,
Macon Helps, and anywhere else where Charlotte felt that she could assist.
Charlotte was a life-long member of the Macon County Ladies Auxiliary to the
Veterans of Foreign War Post # 7135 of Lafayette. She was a very dedicated and
active member, which will be greatly missed by the ladies at the Auxiliary.
Charlotte enjoyed going to the V.F.W. and helping out when they had different
events. To pass time, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and talking with
her family and friends. She attended the Lafayette Church of God. Charlotte
loved the time spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly
missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Charlotte is survived by;
Sons, Monty Spencer, Tony Dyer, and Bruce (Tina) Dyer all of Lafayette, TN,
Daughters, Monica Russell of Lafayette, TN, Markita Willis of Florida, Hilda
Smotherman, and Maxine (Kevin) Schiefer all of Alabama, and Tracy (Ali)
Hajialilu of Florida, Brother, Ferrell Gammon, and Sister-in-law, Thelma Gammon
both of Lafayette, 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, also survive.
