Conald B. Jenkins, 62

  Mr. Conald B. Jenkins, age 62, of Lafayette, TN passed away November 2, 2011 at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services for Conald Jenkins were conducted Saturday, November 5th, at 2 p.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Kyle Gammons officiating.  Serving as Pallbearers were: Cody Jenkins, Gary Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, Matthew Dodd, Michael Dodd, Mickey Leverett, Wayne Dallas, and Philip Ezell.  Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

  Conald Jenkins was born on August 27, 1949 in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Quentin B. Jenkins and Annadean Smalling Jenkins. On November 2, 2011 at the age of 62, Conald went to be with the Lord. Conald married the love of his life, the former Judy Elaine Shrum on February 7, 1969. They shared 42 years together and raised two sons. Besides his parents; one son, Nathan Jenkins, and two uncles, Ransom Jenkins and Ray Kenneth Smalling, also preceded him in death. Conald was a man who worked all the time. He was employed by the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier for over 33 years, before retiring. Conald delivered mail on Route 5 in Macon County during most of his years as mail carrier. During his time at work, Conald made many life-long friends. Conald also had a love for farming running through his veins. He spent every minute possible working on the farm. Along with raising tobacco and beef cattle, Conald also enjoyed his time spent riding his tractor cutting hay, plowing the fields, or just wasting fuel. His son Tony worked by his side with him on the farm, this made Conald’s life complete. Providing for his family meant everything to Conald. He loved his wife, sons, and his grandson, above anything else. Conald enjoyed going out with his family and friends to eat and cutting up with them. He was saved as a young boy and joined Union Camp Missionary Baptist Church. Conald will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

  He is survived by; Wife, Judy Jenkins of Lafayette, Son, Tony and wife Beth Jenkins, Grandson, Tyler Jenkins all of the Haysville Community in Macon County, Uncles, Kenny Jenkins of Lafayette, and George Ray Jenkins of Indianapolis, Aunts, Peggy Jenkins of Lafayette, and Cozella Smalling of the Kirbytown Community in Macon County, also survives.
