Katina Joyce Whittemore Rawlins

  Katina Joyce Whittemore Rawlins was born on Sunday, January 24, 1972 in Hartsville, TN, one of three children born to Louis and Vestie McCaleb Whittemore, who survive.

  She departed this life on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN, at the age of 38 years, 11 months and 21 days. Funeral services for Katina Rawlins were conducted at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11 a.m., with Elder G.W. Knight officiating. Interment followed in the Liberty Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer was Don Harper.  Pallbearers were Roy Dixon, Justin Massey, Steve Horton, Gary Jenkins, Glen Eakes, Buddy Mooneyhan, Steven Enoch and Joseph Dallas. On August 24, 2001, Katina was married to Shane Rawlins, who also survives. She was a homemaker, and did charitable work with the “Relay for Life” organization. Katina was a member of Brattontown Missionary Baptist Church in Lafayette. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Bybee. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Terri Whittemore of the Difficult Community; mother-in-law, Judy Rawlins, of Lebanon, TN; 2 brothers-in-law, Paul Rawlins of Lebanon, TN and Darren Rawlins of Sylvester, GA; and a host of other family and friends.  Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Directors, in Lafayette, TN.
