Trousdale Cares Banquet to be held March 24th
Trousdale Cares, which is a non-profit organization, will hold their annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, March 24th, at the Trousdale County High School Auditorium, in Hartsville, with the doors opening at 5:00 p.m.
Care and compassion can be shown in a variety of ways, and this event helps to raise money for Trousdale County families, and to sponsor events for the children. This is a group of gracious individuals, who coordinate projects to help those in need and to have a positive impact on those less fortunate, by finding donations, accessing resources and ensuring that people in the community aren’t forgotten.
By reaching out to others when they need help, volunteering their time, and tirelessly providing activities for children, as well as a weekend hunt for Wounded Warriors, this organization routinely goes above and beyond in extensive community involvement with an upbeat attitude.
“Two years ago cancer took the life of 17-year-old Isaac Bode,” said a member of the organization,” and we raised $18,000 for the family. Trousdale Cares was inspired by the outpouring of support by Trousdale County families who pulled together in honor of the teenager and his family.”
Considering themselves a small foundation trying to make a big difference, the various fundraisers during the year are a skeet shoot on the Lewis Beasley farm, Breakfast With Santa, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, and the Trousdale Cares Banquet.
“Anything we can do big or small we want to help.”
This friendly group show their kind and caring personalities by hosting several free events throughout the year including Heart For Hunters, Haunted Hayride, Trousdale County Juvenile Hunt, in addition to a one day hunt for anybody, a hunt for children who have never killed a deer on the Tom Beasley farm and the Wounded Warriors weekend hunt.
“Ten wounded warriors camp out on the farm,” said another member, “ and we feed them breakfast, lunch and dinner and take them to their spot to hunt. These former soldiers are making the best of their lives and they still enjoy the simple things. Our debt to these heroic individuals in the service of our country can never be repaid and this is our way to say thank you.”

Meals will be served at the March 24th Trousdale Cares Banquet at 6:00 and you can buy your tickets for $10.00 at Beasley Construction, Co-op, Ronnie’s Amoco, Trousdale Comfort or Pretty Quick Muffler. There will be games, gun raffle for 10 guns, and a live auction of numerous items. “Please make plans to attend!”
