Ricky Curtis Cothron, 61

Ricky Curtis Cothron, of Lafayette, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 26th, at the age of 61 years and 20 days. Funeral services with military honors for Ricky Cothron were conducted on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Anderson and Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brother Jackie Price officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Ricky was born on July 6, 1951, one of five children born to the late Victor Curtis Cothron and Kathryn Gregory Cothron, who survives. As a young man of 20 years old, Ricky joined the Army National Guard, where he served a six-year enlistment. A year later, he joined the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge from both branches. On June 21, 2003, he was married to Deborah Sue Lowrance Cothron, who survives. He attended Bethel Family Worship Center and was a member of the Hillsdale Mason Lodge. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a wife, Phyllis Cothron; two daughters, Misty Watson and Rozanne Cothron; and a brother, Kenny Cothron. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Donelle and Monty Story, of Charlotte, TN, DeAnna Williams of Hendersonville, TN, Jessica Frye of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Stephanie and Marcus Wilson of Dalton, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Scott and Rachell Lawrance of Cottontown, TN; Brother and Sister-in-law, Joe and Shirley Cothron of Byron, GA; Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Polly and Glen Harold Donoho of Lafayette, TN, Connie and J.R. Williams of Scottsville, KY; Grandchildren, Taylor, Kelsey and Grace Story, Owen and Kayti Wolfe, Britney and Bridget McBride, Cherity Farmer, Esha Wilson, Arwyn, Bella, Wyatt and Shiloh Lawrence.
