Juanita Bell Burrow, 96

Juanita Bell Burrow, of the Brattontown Community of Macon County, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at her residence at the age of 96 years.  Funeral services for Juanita Burrow were conducted from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14th with her nephew, Elder “Pee Wee” Massey officiating.  Pallbearers were Josh Holland, “Skip” Massey, Greg Howard, “Kenny” Carver, Charlie Buck, Clarence “Moody” Gregory, Ricky Jetton, and “Chop” Porter.  Interment followed in the Anderson and Son Memorial Park.  Juanita was born on October 9, 1915, one of four children born to the late Charles, better known as “Charlie” and Ida (Glover) Gregory.  She was married to the late Ford Burrow on December 26, 1938, spending 62 years together before his death on May 17, 2000.  To this union was born two sons, Jim and Larry.  In addition to her husband and parents, an infant brother, James Melvin Gregory and three sisters, Eva Stafford, Thelma Porter and Georgia Porter preceded her in death.  Juanita had worked at Lafayette manufacturing and in her earlier years she worked as a sales clerk in a general store in the Hillsdale Community.  As she got older, she was content to be a homemaker, work in her garden and flowers and help her family in any way she could.  She was the second oldest member of the Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church.  Her sister Faye Porter is the oldest living member. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Marte Burrow of Franklin, Larry and Janice Burrow of Lafayette, brother and sister-in-law, Billy Ray and Marie Gregory of the Westside Community of Macon County, sister, Faye Porter of the Hillsdale Community, grandchildren and spouses, Lachelle and Tommy Wentworth, Bridget and Kenny Carver, Leanne Tuck and companion Charlie Buck, all of Lafayette, Jay Burrow of Lebanon, great-grandchildren, Amber & spouse Ricky, Jetton, Lauren Carver, Kattie Holland, Josh Holland and Tyler Evans, all of Lafayette, Ryan Burrow and Kara Burrow of Lebanon, Timmy Wentworth of Gordonsville, Alicia and spouse David, Pettigrew of Danville, IL, Jamie Wentworth of North Vernon, IN, Hollie Wentworth of Indianapolis, IN, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
