Joe Hackett, 76

Joe Hackett, age 76 of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Monday afternoon, August 27, 2012 at the Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville.  Funeral services for Joe Hackett were conducted Friday afternoon, August 31, 2012 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Elder Micheal Robertson officiating.  Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers were Logan Seets, members of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and his Friday Night Friends.  Active Pallbearers were Dustin Hackett, Larry Jones, Mike Hackett, Larry Goad, Kyle Hollis and Prentice Miller.
Joe was born Friday March 6, 1936 in Macon County, Tennessee, one of five siblings of the late Mance and Hattie Montgomery Hackett. On August 30, 1958, he married the former Bobbie Ann Hudson, who preceded him in death on October 13, 2007.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Olene Kemp.  Joe was a farmer, carpenter and a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he was ordained as a deacon on August 3, 1986.  He loved his family and his church.  He also loved to go to the Macon County Senior Citizens Center in Lafayette and to go out and eat on Friday nights with his friends.
Survivors include: daughter, Sabrina Sikora, Charlotte, N.C.,  sons & daughters-in-law, Joey & Mylinda “Punkin” Hackett and Waylon & Angela Hackett all of Lafayette, sisters, Esto Miller and Jewel Bell, Red Boiling Springs, brother & sister-in-law, H.C. & Gladys Hackett, Lafayette, granddaughters, Coty Hackett, Kelsey Seets and Delilah Hackett, grandsons, Dustin Hackett and Logan Seets.
