Phil Newsome, 50

Phil Newsome, age 50 of the Leonard Community in Clay County, TN passed away Friday evening, September 21, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services for Phil Newsome were conducted Monday afternoon, September 24, 2012 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Elder Jackie Wakefield and Pastor John Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Leonard Cemetery with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. Phil was born Wednesday, December 27, 1961 in Springfield, Ohio, one of seven siblings of Dorothy Williamson Newsome of Cincinnati, Ohio and Archie Newsome of the Leonard Community in Clay County, TN. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Newsome. On October 9, 1999, he married the former Cindy King, who survives. Phil was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the Harvest Fellowship Church of God. Survivors besides his wife, Cindy and parents, Dorothy and Archie include: sons & daughter-in-law, Phil Jr. & Sheila Newsome, Ronnie Newsome, daughter, Samantha Newsome all of Somerset, KY, step-sons, Billy Harper III, Leonard Community, Joshua Ferguson, Hermitage Springs, step-daughter, Crystal Morgan & husband, Terry of Webbtown Community, brothers & sisters-in-law, Greg & Connie Newsome, Somerset, KY, Bob & Bertie Newsome, Milford, OH, Tony & Amy Newsome, Richmond, VA, Jamie & Bernidett Newsome, Cincinnati, OH, sister & brother-in-law, Pat & Kenneth Amstutz, Pasadena, MD, grandchildren, Bryon, Brandon & Brailey Newsome, McKenzie & Kaley Morgan.
