Mary Margaret Moss Vinson, age 97, of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Saturday morning, April 20, 2013 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, TN. Funeral Services for Mary Margaret Moss Vinson were conducted Tuesday morning, April 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Neel Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery. Her grandsons served as pallbearers. Mary Margaret was born October 24, 1915 in Macon County, Tennessee, one of four siblings born to the late Bill and Cornell Cloyd Moss. On August 19, 1961, she married James Vinson, who preceded her in death on December 16, 2001. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Bertha Nell Turner Dodd, grandson, Max Bailey, sister, Willalea Tyler and brothers, Comus and Evan Moss. Mary Margaret was the former Librarian for the Red Boiling Springs Branch Library with 37 years of service. She always greeted people with her winning smile and a twinkle in her eye. She attended the Red Boiling Springs Church of Christ. Survivors include: daughters, Mary Lea Bailey, Indianapolis, IN, Margaret Ann Burnett, Louisville, KY, Martha Crowder, Nashville, TN, son & daughter-in-law, John & Jeanette Jackson, Lynchburg, VA, brother-in-law, Joe Vinson, Red Boiling Springs, TN, 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
