Laban B Hilton, 72

Laban B Hilton, age 72, entered heaven on April 29, 2013 at 3:30 pm after a long illness. Laban B Hilton was born in Lancaster County SC on August 13, 1940 to Laban B Hilton and Thelma Catoe Hilton. He is preceeded in death by his father, Laban B Hilton and brother-in-law John Randall Bunch. He is survived by wife, Reba P Hilton, daughter, Lindy Hilton Wyant, daughter, Rebekah Ashleigh Hilton, granddaughter, Josie Davis Wyant, mother, Thelma Catoe Hilton, sister, Delores Hilton Bunch, nieces and nephews, great nieces and newphews. He attended Columbia Business college located in Columbia South Carolina and obtained a degree in traffic, transportation and distribution. Laban and his family owned and operated the Armour’s Red Boiling Springs Hotel in Red Boiling Springs, TN from 1999 to 2008.  During these years he enjoyed meeting and cooking for the many guests of the hotel. For anyone who knew Laban knew that he loved the outdoors, anything regarding nature, he loved floating down the Edisto River and Edisto Beach Where where his family vacationed yearly. He loved to fish and play golf. Laban will be remembered by his friends and family as kind, considerate, devoted to his family. He loved Edisto Island, Fishing, Golfing, Camping. Pall bearers for the service were John Randall Bunch, James Michael Pike, Samuel Thomas Pike, Paul Edward Miracle, T. C. Woodard. Visitation for Laban B Hilton was held at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. on Thursday, May 2 and visitation and memorial service was held on Friday, May 3 at New Life Baptist Church, 6851 Highway 52 East, Lafayette, TN. Interment was at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN. The service was officiated by Rev Chris Davis of Gallatin, TN and Rev Tim Bryson of South Carolina.
