Wayne Dale Fuqua, 74

Wayne Dale Fuqua, age 74, of the Drury Ridge Community in Macon County passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Summit Medical Center. Graveside services for Wayne Dale Fuqua were conducted at the Drury Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5th with Elder J. B. Shoulders officiating. Visitation with the Family was held at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. and continued through Sunday at 3:00 p.m. before leaving for the cemetery. James Ford, Gordon Gammons, Roger Long, Dee Brooks, Tony East and Kyle Mason served as Pallbearers. Wayne Dale Fuqua was born on December 4, 1938 in Macon County Tennessee, one of five siblings born to the late Faust and Lorah (Drury) Fuqua , he was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Carlene Fuqua. He married the former Betty Parker on December 15, 1956, who survives. He worked for Tri County Electric from 1963 to 1996 and was a Missionary Baptist in belief. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by, Son and Daughter-in-law, Ricky and Claudette Fuqua, daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Alex Shrum, all of Lafayette, grandson and spouse, Jeff and Misty Fuqua , great-grandchildren, Beau, Bleu & Luke Fuqua, all of Cookeville, brothers and sister-in-law, Leon Fuqua of Lafayette and Larry Faust and Doris Fuqua of Spring Hill, Florida, sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and W. L. Goad of Madison, Joanne and Bud Deering of Lafayette, mother-in-law, Ms. Minnie Parker Dyer of Lafayette, sister-in-law and spouse, Shirley Glover Blalock and Wayne of Chapel Hill, special family friends, Reagan Shrum, Rachel Shrum, Ray, Paulette and Kyle Mason, all of Lafayette.
