Charles Steven Likens, 58

Charles Steven Likens, better known as Stevie, was born in Macon County, Tennessee on December 5, 1954 to Harvey E. Likens and Betty Jean Freeman Likens. He was one of seven siblings born to this union.  Stevie was preceded in death by; sister, Hilda Graves and infant twin sisters, Brenda Kay and Sharon Fay Likens. As a young man, Stevie married the love of his life Leanetta Ann Meador on December 17, 1973. Together they raised two daughters, Stephanie and Terri, and shared thirty-nine years together. Stevie’s family was everything to him, so spending the day with the kids and grandkids made his life complete. Stevie provided for his family by running a trucking company, hauling mostly locally, to service the area he called home. Spare time for Stevie was used for fishing and hunting. He was an avid sportsman and a member of the Macon County Coon Hunters Club. Stevie was saved at a tent revival as a young man and was of the Baptist Belief. On May 21, 2013 the Lord called Stevie home. He will truly be missed by all of his family, friends, and all that knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Stevie Likens were conducted Saturday at 1 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Marty Meador, Elder Jeff Likens, and Brother Kenneth Wix officiating. Tyler Johns, Doug Johns, Corey Newberry, Mike Likens, Ronnie Gregory, Ron Cook, Nick Storey, and Jason Hesson served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in Mt. Union Cemetery. Stevie is survived by; Wife, Leanetta Meador Likens, Daughters, Stephanie Likens and Doug Johns, and Terri Likens and Corey Newberry, Grandchildren, Breanna Johns and Nick Storey, and Tyler Johns, Great Grandchild, Brylin Storey, Parents, Harvey and Betty Likens, Sisters, Regina (Windle) Hesson and Anita Huff, Brother, Jeff (Sheila) Likens all of the Rocky Mound Community, Just Like Daughters, Jennifer Wilburn, Jennifer Turner and Christy Carr, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
