Ruby Wakefield Clark, 93

Ruby Wakefield Clark was born on April 2, 1920 in Macon County, TN, one of six siblings, to the late Floyd and Betty Jenkins Wakefield. She departed this life on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 18 days.  Funeral services for Ruby Wakefield Clark were conducted at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd with Jerry Mercer and E.C. Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.  Honorary pallbearers were Lee Hogin, Matthew Finn, Seth Blankenship, Zack Blankenship, Eldon Clark and Donald Clark.  Pallbearers were Jeff Brockette, Greg Brockette, Ben Clark, Chris Clark, Alex Clark and Adam Clark. On October 30, 1936, Ruby married Paul H. Clark, spending 43 years together until his death on May 21, 1980.  To this union was born three children ˆ Paul Lowell, Larry and Linda. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Lowell Clark; brothers, Lovell Wakefield and Manson Wakefield; and a sister, Lorain Barton. Ruby is survived by: son, Larry Clark of Lafayette; daughter Linda Brockette of Lebanon; sisters and brother-in-law, Edna and E.C. Meadows of Red Boiling Springs, and Edith Cook of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Brockette, Greg Brockette, all of Lebanon, Tara Brockette of College Park, Maryland, Nikki (Lee) Hogin of Lafayette, Ben (Kylie) Clark of Red Boiling Springs, Ginger (Matthew) Finn of Cookeville, Chris Clark of Murfreesboro, Alex (Lindsay) Clark of Gallatin, Adam Clark, Zack Blankenship, both of Nashville, and Seth (Brittany) Blankenship of Lafayette; 16 great-grandchildren.
