Dean Carnahan Ritter, 72

Dean Carnahan Ritter, age 72 of Lafayette and formerly of Red Boiling Springs passed away Wednesday evening, August 7, 2013 at The White House Assisted Living in Lafayette. Funeral Services for Dean Carnahan Ritter were conducted Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10 am from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Kirk Dodson officiating.  Interment followed in the Clementsville Cemetery. Her pallbearers were Justin Adams, Austin Carter, Brandon Coons, Don Shockley, Del Watson and Josh Watson. Dean was born Friday, June 13, 1941 in Macon County, Tennessee, one of five siblings born to the late Bedford Lee and Dixie Bettie Kirby Carnahan. On July 27, 1973, she married Willard Monroe Ritter, who survives.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Carnahan. She attended school at Drapers Cross Roads and Red Boiling Springs.  Dean was baptized at Drapers Cross Roads Church of Christ in 1978 and was a member of the Milestown Church of Christ.  She was foster mother to over 17 children. She loved children and flowers and liked to go for drives. Survivors besides her husband, Willard of 40 years, includes: sister, Beatrice Craig, brothers & sisters-in-law, Carl & Helen Carnahan, Don and Helen Carnahan all of Lafayette, brother-in-law, George Ritter, sister-in-law, Edna Davis & husband, Bedford all of Red Boiling Springs and a host of nieces and nephews.
