Louvenia Rush Gentry, 92

Louvenia Rush Gentry, age 92 of the Hermitage Springs Community in Clay County, TN passed Saturday evening, November 16, 2013 at her residence.  Funeral Services for Louvenia Rush Gentry were conducted Monday afternoon, November 18, 2013, at 2 pm from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Roy Henson and Rick Mosley officiating. Interment followed in the Browning Cemetery. Her family served as pallbearers. Mrs. Louvenia was born Thursday, December 23, 1920 in Clay County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Cyrus Hayden and Mary Lou Loftis Rush. On December 22, 1945, she married George Donald Gentry, who preceded her in death on September 12, 1982. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ercil Gentry, brother, Cyrus Hayden Rush, Jr., sister, Brilla Cherry and several half brothers & sisters. Louvenia was a graduate of Hermitage Springs High School and she worked in Louisville, KY during the World War II, while waiting for George Donald Gentry to come home from the service. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ. She was a devoted mother, loving wife and friend to all of her seven children. Survivors include: daughters & sons-in-law, Geraldine & Jeff Jones, Mt. Juliet, Gayle & Rick Mosley, Nashville, Veachel & Charles King, Sheila Rouse all of Hermitage Springs, Lesia & Keith Key, Carthage, son, George Danny Gentry and his companion, Lucille Carlisle of Hermitage Springs, daughter-in-law, Sandra Gentry, Moss, grandchildren, Marvin Chaffin, Teresa Santana, Donald Chaffin, Rachel Mosley, Michael King, Megan Chandler, Amy O’Neal, Kristofer Strong, Pamela Koffman, Kevin & Katie Reece, great-grandchildren, Barry, Bradley, Tasha, Ryan, D.J., Kaylee, Colton, Caleb, Elliott, Rylan, Colin, Hayden and Landon.
