April Renee Hurt, 45

Ms. April Renee Hurt age 45 of Celina, TN passed away at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN on Friday, November 29, 2013. Ms. April was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 5, 1968. She was the daughter of Irene Hurt of Celina, TN and the late John Edward Hurt. April attended Indiana School for the blind and graduated from Northwest High School in 1987 where she participated in the “Special Needs Program”. Although April was born with Cerebral Palsy, Legally blind, and unable to speak, she touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. April communicated by sign language and facial expressions. April attended Christ Missionary Baptist Church with her father in Indiana and Church of Christ with her mother in TN. April was in several different Home Care programs where she learned to bowl, and won a tournament. Recently April was crowned Miss Fabulous. April’s memory will be forever honored by her family that is left behind: her Mother Irene Hurt whom loved her Daughter very much. Her sisters: Martha, Alexious, Shanrika, Jackie, Yolanda, Yvonne. Brothers: Tyronne, Micheal, Gerrald. Aunt Eva Terrell, Uncle Billy Ray Hamilton and wife Mary Jo all of Louisville, KY A host of aunts, cousins, close family members and many, many friends. Services for Ms. April Renee Hurt will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 12 Noon from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina, TN with burial to follow in the Free Hill Cemetery in Celina, Clay County, TN. Family will receive friends at the funeral on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 starting at 10 AM until service time at 12 Noon.
