Geneva Lafollette Brewer

Geneva Lafollette Brewer, better known as Granny, was born on January 11, 1926, in Lyons Station, Kentucky, to the late Daniel Lafollette and Blanch Hazelwood Lafollette. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Brewer; brothers, Edd Hornwack, Howard Hornwack, Marvin Hornwack, and Dee Lafollette; sister, Leona Nichols. Geneva was saved at the age of eighteen by the sweet lord’s grace at Middle Fork Baptist Church in Hodgenville, Kentucky. She joined Lafayette First Baptist in 1955. She married Johnnie Brewer on May 26, 1943. On Wednesday February 24, 2021, at the age of ninety five, Geneva Lafollette Brewer was called to her heavenly home. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all that knew and loved her. She is survived by; sons, John Brewer and wife, Linda, Donald Brewer and wife, Barbara; daughter, Janice Dedman and husband, Paul, sisters, Betty Richie, and Skippy Vittito; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services for Geneva were conducted on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Hickman officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens with Troy Brewer, Scott Brewer, Jeff Brewer, Jordan Andrews, Cameron Wohlgamutn, Ethan Keith, and Gabe Keith serving as pallbearers.
