Donald Wayne Gregory

Donald Wayne Gregory, better known as Donnie, was born on May 20, 1955, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Jimmy Gregory and Yvonne King Gregory. He was one of two boys born to this union.

Donnie was of the Missionary Baptist Belief. He married Janice Bergdorf on June 28, 1985. They were blessed with three daughters and almost  thirty-six years of marriage. Before Donnie’s health began to fail, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing and watching softball in his younger days. Donnie passed the time away watching UT Football, The Tennessee Titans, and probably his most favorite of all, The Atlanta Braves. He loved and cherished his family very much and especially adored all ten of his grandchildren. On Monday, March 8, 2021, at the age of sixty-five, Donald Wayne Gregory was called to his Heavenly Home. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all of those who loved him. Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne King Gregory and is survived by; Wife, Jan Gregory; Daughters,

Special Friend, Jacob Creasy; Grandchildren, Hunter, Madison, and Alyssa Farley, Mason, Kinleigh, and Olivia Hudgins, Trista Gregory, Haley Creasy, and Connor and Colt Fleming. A Special  Caregiver, Sharon Halliburton also survives. Funeral services for Donald Wayne Gregory were conducted on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Dale Comperry and Brother Zach White officiating. Interment followed in The Lafayette City Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Chris Farley, Randall Hudgins, Brandon Fleming, Jacob Creasy, Jeremy Sauseda, Charlie Bergdorf, Ethan Crowder, and Logan Bergdorf.
