Margaret Ethridge


Margaret Lucille Sexton Ethridge was born into this world on December 10, 1941, in Lafayette, Tennessee, to the late Elvis Sexton and Annie Mae Sneed Sexton. She was one of three children born to this union. Along with her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Billy Ray Sexton and Mary Ann Sexton.
Margaret was saved when she was a young woman and was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Measure Up after working there for many years as an inspector. Then, Margaret worked and retired from Sun Beam as a line worker. Margaret loved watching butterflies. She also loved to read and work puzzles. Above all else, Margaret loved sharing time with her family and friends. On Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the age eighty years, nine months, and eleven days, Margaret Lucille Sexton Ethridge was carried by the angels to her Heavenly Home. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her, but our loss is truly heavens gain.
Margaret Ethridge is survived by; Brother, Dennis Sexton and Wife, Cathy; Son, Micheal Ethridge and Wife, Cheryl; Daughters, Michelle Melton and Husband, Johnnie, and Melissa Wooten and Husband, Martin; Grandchildren, Tara Nicolazzi and Husband, Ray, and Tiffany Warren. Three step-grandchildren, six great-grandsons, eight great-granddaughters also survive.
Funeral services for Ms. Margaret Sexton Ethridge were conducted on Sunday, September 25, 2022, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Rickey Day and Pastor Billy Jones officiating. Interment followed in The Macon County Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers were; Roy “Hoppy” Scruggs, Kevin Sexton, Ray Nicolazzi, Larry Ethridge, Barry Ethridge, Garry Ethridge, and Ronnie Maner.
