Dovie Rogers Kirby, age 100 of Hendersonville, TN formerly of Lafayette, TN passed away Monday morning, October 3, 2022 at The Hearth Assisted Living in Hendersonville, TN. Dovie is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette.

Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, October 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brad Carver officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Family & Friends served as pallbearers.

Dovie Rogers Kirby was born November 10, 1921 in Jellico, TN, the daughter born to the late Andrew & Mary Ellen Terry Rogers, and departed this life October 3, 2022 at the age of 100 years, 10 months, & 23 days. She married the love of her life, Jesse Roland Kirby in July 1946 he preceded her in death on April 6, 2017. They got to share 70 wonderful years together. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by son, James Wallace Kirby. Dovie was a registered nurse & a public health nurse in Trousdale County for the state of Tennessee. She was also a member of the Lafayette United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: Daughter-in-law: Martha Kirby of Pleasant View, TN, Grandchildren: Ryan & Denise Kirby of Murfreesboro, TN, Jennifer & Steven Chaffin of Chattanooga, Jill Kirby of Nashville, Great-Grandchildren: Chelsey Kirby Templeton, Hannah Kirby, Gracie Kirby, Celena Kirby, Ryan Marie Kirby, Seth Chaffin, Ella Claire Chaffin, Isabella Kirby.
