Shelly Dean


Mrs. Shelly Dawn Stutesman Dean, age 58, of Red Boiling Springs, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at The Palace Care and Rehab in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee.

She was born in Emporia, Kansas to William Elwood “Bill” Stutesman and Ronna Lee Kness Stutesman. Shelly was a member of The Osage City Presbyterian Church. She served her country in The United States Army Reserve. Shelly married Ronald Dean on March 25, 2000, and they were blessed to be able to raise three sons and blessed with over twenty-two years together. Shelly was a journalist for The Macon County Chronicle and also worked as a substitute teacher for The Macon County Board of Education. In her spare time, Shelly loved to listen to music and makeing home made goods. She also loved to craft and crochet.

Shelly will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Father, William Elwood “Bill” Stutesman. Shelly is survived by; Husband, Ronald Dean; Sons, Emery Stutesman and wife, Corrina, Aaron Dean, and Edward Dean; Grandchildren, Emily Stutesman and Zachary Stutesman; Mother, Ronna Lee Kness Stutesman; Sister, LaDonna Stutesman; and Brothers, Bill Stutesman, Jr., and wife, Christine, and Charlie Stutesman. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shelly Dean were conducted on Friday, October 28, 2022, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Bengie Blackwell, Family, and Friends Speaking. Interment followed in The Whitley Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs. Pallbearers were; Miles Gibson, Jimmy Summers, Josh Bray, Terry Tuck, Corey Dixon, and Chad Holder.
