Linda Gail Evetts


Linda Gail Trammel Evetts was born on July 19, 1946, to the late Carlos Bedford Trammel and Opal
Reid Trammel. She was one of three children born to this union. Gail was saved as a young girl at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She joined Haysville Missionary Baptist Church by experience in baptism and remained a member there.

Gail married Ralph Leland Evetts on February 2, 1963, and they were blessed with fi fty-two years together before his passing on February 27, 2015. Along with her dear husband and parents, Gail was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Lydon. Gail worked as a secretary for the Macon County Board of Education. She retired in 2004 after twenty years of service. In her spare time, Gail enjoyed cooking for her family, shopping, and gardening. She loved going to Florida, trips with her sisters, caring for her dogs, and going to church. On Wednesday, November 23, 2020, at the age of seventy-six years, four months, and four days, Linda “Gail” Trammel Evetts was called to her Heavenly home. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her, but our loss is truly heavens gain.

Gail Evetts is survived by; Sons, Geoff Evetts and wife, Sheneda, and Chris Evetts and wife, Penny; Grandchildren, Ryan Evetts and wife, Bridget, Sean Evetts, Cortney Kemp and husband, Corey, Candice Evetts and Sammy Light, Madison Evetts, Savannah Alford, Grace Alford, Maddox East, and Cooper East; Great-Grandchildren, Garrett Evetts, Colin Conroy, Jensen Evetts, Lila Evetts, Chloe Kemp, Cruz Kemp, Rayland Evetts, and Gracie Light. A host of extended family also survives. Funeral services for Ms. Gail Evetts were conducted on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Eddie Gregory and Elder Kevin Harrison officiating.

Interment followed in The Haysville Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Ryan Evetts, Sean Evetts, Craig Lydon, Brian Lydon, Garrett Evetts, and Colin Evetts. Honorary Pallbearers were; Cruz Kemp, Rayland Evetts, and Jensen Evetts. Alexander Funeral Home, Directors, in charge of arrangements.
