Billy Doss


Mr. Billy W. Doss was born on May 16, 1935, in Macon County, Tennessee, to the late Pat Doss and Magdalene Reagan Doss. He was one of two sons born to this union. Billy married Miss Coramerine Patterson on December 5, 1953, and they were blessed with four children and sixty-eight years together. Billy and Coramerine had such a special bond, and since her passing, he had missed her terribly. Along with his parents and dear wife, Billy was also preceded in death by his Daughter, Patsy Nixon; and Brother Jimmy Doss.

Billy was saved by the sweet Lord’s grace at Liberty Missionary Baptist church as a young boy. He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, Indiana. Billy was employed at Arvin Industries as a supervisor. He retired after forty-two years of dedicated service. Billy was an avid squirrel hunter and fisherman. He loved to talk and visit with family and friends. Monday, ecember 5, 2022, at the age of eighty-seven years, six months, and twenty days, on what would have been Billy and Coramerine’s sixty-eighth wedding anniversary, The Lord called Billy to his Heavenly Home. He is rejoicing in the presence of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and he will never have to be separated from his dear Coramerine again.

Mr. Billy W. Doss is survived by; Daughter, Cheryl Cook and husband, Audie; Sons, Ronnie Bradley and wife, Tina, and Randy Doss; and Special Caregiver, Donna Kirby. Four Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Billy W. Doss were conducted on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Interment followed in The Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were; Ronnie Carter, Bud Wright, Ronnie Morgan, Donnie Morgan, Ronnie Hudson, Alan Boles, Richie Bean, and Charlie. Honorary Pallbearers were; Steve Swindle, Joey Poston, and Odean Harp. Alexander Funeral Home, Directors, in charge of arrangements.
