Mildred Doss Fleming

Mildred Doss Fleming, age 82 of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away early Friday morning, December 30, 2022 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Funeral Services for Mildred Doss Fleming were conducted Tuesday afternoon, January 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Jack Honeycutt & Tim McHenry officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Her grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.

Mildred Doss Fleming was born March 19, 1940 in Macon County, Tennessee, the daughter born to the late Riley & Eunice Blankenship Doss. On June 1, 1991, she married the love of her life, Doug Fleming who survives. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Delton & Darrell Doss. Mildred worked as an assembly worker at the former American Greeting for 21 years and was a member of the Willette Church of Christ.

Survivors besides her husband, Doug include: daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia & Jeff Scantland of Cookeville, Benita Austin of the Chestnut Mound Community; son, Steve Moss of the Underwood Community; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Carr, Briley & Andrew Scantland, Steven Garrison, Serenity Austin; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Doss of Cookeville, Cynthia Smalling, Neida & husband, Jerry Dallas; brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe & wife, Rita Fleming all of Red Boiling Springs, Terry & wife, Sandra Fleming of Lafayette; 3 nephews, Tony, Barry, & Jeff Doss. Arrangements entrusted to Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Lafayette, TN
