TBI Investigates Deaths of Married Couple

Police presence at the 600 block of Baker Dr. on Oct. 15, 2025.

A Macon County woman and her husband were found deceased on October 15, 2025 in what appears to be a murder-suicide.

At the request of 15th Judicial District Attorney General Jason Lawson, TBI special agents are investigating the circumstances leading to the deaths of two people.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Public Affairs Officer Leslie Earhart has released the following statement:

“On October 15th,  the Lafayette Police Department responded to an apartment in the 600 block of Baker Drive to conduct a welfare check on Amanda Burrow (DOB: 2/12/81). Upon arrival, she was found deceased from a gunshot wound.  A short time later, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office located Amanda Burrow’s husband, Larufus Sharrod Burrow (DOB: 6/7/83), deceased inside his vehicle in the 2000 block of Coolidge Road in Lafayette. At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing.”
