Joyce Scoggins

Joyce Ann Scoggins was called to her Heavenly Home on December 3, 2025, at the age of seventy-seven. She entered this world on December 30, 1947, in Paris, Kentucky, born to the late Earl Junior Howard and Ruth Mae Puckett Howard.
Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husbands, L. V. Scoggins III and Hubert Reynolds, Jr.; her daughters, Tammy Dallas and Connie Pedigo; grandsons, Nathaniel Amalfitano and Jason Murrell; and her brothers, Larry Howard and Bill Howard.
Joyce was saved by the Lord’s grace and faithfully attended New Beginnings Church of God. Her love for the Lord was evident in her devotion to reading her Bible, praying, and worshiping alongside her church family.
For many years, Joyce shared her talents as a seamstress with the Osh Gosh manufacturing company. When the factory closed, she simply found new ways to put her hands and her heart to work. Becoming a true “Handy Lady,” she took on tasks such as hanging drywall and stripping pavement – never afraid of hard work and always glad to stay busy. Joyce had a way of embracing every role with determination and a humble spirit. She found joy in the simple things, especially caring for her yard and spending time mowing, which brought her a sense of peace and accomplishment.
Above all, she treasured time with her family – each gathering, each conversation, each shared moment meant everything to her. Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew her, loved her, and were touched by her gracious and gentle presence. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to walk through life beside her. Though she has gone on to her Heavenly reward, the love she gave and the strength she carried will continue to shine in the memories she leaves behind.
